Douglas Lumber is Now Stocking EZ-Tube
Douglas Lumber is now a stocking dealer of EZ-Tube, a precast concrete product used to replace traditional pour-it-yourself deck footings. This system, made by EZ-Crete LLC of New Hampshire, consists of three components: a base section, upper sections that can be stacked to achieve your desired height and an anchor to tie them together. This easy to install system eliminates the need for construction tubes and eliminates the labor associated with mixing and pouring concrete. Douglas Lumber is Now a Stocking Dealer of Modernview Decking
ModernView Decking's eco-friendly deck materials are made from 95% recycled content and manufactured through a unique "total encapsulation" process, wherein wood fibers are aligned and encapsulated in plastic. While the wood fibers reinforce the plastic, making for stiffer deck boards, the plastic surround makes the product moisture resistant. removal program in lieu of the national EPA lead removal program as Rhode
Island's program meets or exceeds the EPA regulations. More

The EPA Renovate, Repair & Painting Rule
The law, 40 CFR Part 745, requires that any renovations performed for
conpensation on homes built before 1978, must be done by EPA certified
firms using certified renovators. In addition to contractors, this includes
landlords and property managers. The fines for non compliance are up to
$37,500 per violation. Fines can be assessed up to 3 years after the completion
of the project.
